In recent years the economic crisis has affected many countries, including Italy. The thing that struck me most is the sharp decline in food purchases: stores and supermarkets are often empty. The few customers don't make food supply buying the bare essentials and avoiding unnecessary. These cathedrals that was built to celebrate the mass consumption, now have shelves full of products that remain unsold irreparably.
